The History of Mac’s Tire Center

For the last years, Mac’s Tire Center has been performing quality auto repairs and stocking a competitively priced selection of tires. Since our humble beginnings, we have grown to acquire a loyal base of returning customers. We have done this through quality workmanship and friendly service. We look forward to building equally rewarding relationships with new customers.

Mac’s Tire Center’s staff has more than 250 years of combined experience. We have sold service since 1956.

Hal and Ricky McPherson own Mac’s Tire Center. The McPherson family started the OK Rubber Welders tire store in 1956 and renamed it Mac’s Tire Center a few years later. Our great customers, employees, and the grace of God have helped us grow through the years. Thank you for voting Mac’s Tire Center the Best of the Best tire store in Lee County.

Throughout its history, Mac’s Tire Center has been careful to stick to its tire-focused roots and has stayed true to that in its service bays. Of our 30 plus employees, six are mechanics dedicated solely to non-tire tasks. Of our 16 service bays, three are dedicated to alignments and three to brakes and exhaust, with the remaining 10 for tire work. Alignment and brake work is done by appointment only.

We are proud to support Tupelo High School and Middle School sports, Tupelo Parks and Recreation, and BancorpSouth Arena.
